Alexander M. and June L. Maisin Foundation Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund is awarded to Jewish high school seniors who show a strong academic record, leadership potential, and financial need.

Bernard Rotberg Memorial Grant

This grant is awarded to a current high school senior who has been accepted into a college or university and is a descendant of a JWV (Jewish War Veteran) Member.

Brandenburg Education Scholarship

This scholarship is for Jewish students accepted to or currently enrolled at an accredited four-year school in the U.S. Students must show academic merit, financial need and demonstrated interest in a specific field of study.

Candy Issenman Coonerty Hillel Scholarship

This is a $1,000 general-purpose scholarship for a Jewish student attending college in Santa Cruz County who has demonstrated the commitment to, and love of, the community that personified Candy's life.

Chester M. Vernon Memorial Eagle Scout Scholarship

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are Eagle Scouts and registered, active members of a Boy Scout troop, Varsity Scout team, or Venturing crew.

Clifford Lee Kristal Education Grant

This grant is awarded to a current high school senior who must have been accepted into a college or university and is a descendant of a JWV (Jewish War Veteran) member.

This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who will attend a UC school, Cal Poly SLO, or Hillsdale College in Michigan. Applicants should demonstrate financial need, Jewish involvement, and meet specific GPA requirements.

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are Eagle Scouts and registered, active members of a Boy Scout troop, Varsity Scout team, or Venturing crew.

Gail Karp Orgell Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Jewish female high school seniors or graduates beginning their first year of an undergraduate program at a four-year college or university in California. Applicants should demonstrate strong academics, athletic involvement, financial need, and commitment to the Jewish principles of tzedakah and tikkun olam.

This Hillel International Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior or gap year student seeking a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.

Helen B. and Lewis E. Goldstein Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to Jewish high school seniors or undergraduates who are accepted to or attending an accredited undergraduate college or university program. Preference given to someone enrolled in professional school and to students who are immigrants.

Helen Diller Family Grants and Fellowships

The Diller program provides funding for undergraduates and graduate students. Stipends and awards are made for research, travel, fieldwork, innovative teaching, and curricular development in Jewish Studies.

These grants are awarded to Jewish (self-identified) students accepted to, or currently enrolled in a state college, university, vocational training, or other accredited institution of higher learning.

This scholarship seeks to encourage young people to treasure their Jewish heritage, reflect on their Jewish values, and better understand their connection to the community.

These are competitive scholarships for incoming freshmen. Applicants will be automatically considered for the Jewish Leadership Scholarship ($12,500 a year for four years).

This scholarship program's mission is to foster Jewish spiritual and cultural values through the experience of living and studying in Israel.

Dream Israel Teen Travel Initiative


Helps Jewish high school students take the Israel trip of their dreams. By fundraising for a Jewish National Fund project in Israel, teens are eligible for generous grant funding on qualifying Israel trips. Up to $7,500

Helyn B. Reich Scholarship


Scholarships are awarded each fall and spring to a limited number of American students who choose to study at one of several designated Israeli universities. Average of $750 to $1500

Israel Experiences for Teens and Young Adults

This scholarship is available for Jewish (self-identified) participants in short-term organized teen Israel trips (first-time, grades 8-12) or 5-12 month Masa-approved Israel programs for young adults ages 18-26.

Israel Within Reach

This is a grant for individuals between ages 12-26 participating in a short or long-term Israel program.

Jeff Seidel Scholarships to Israel

This scholarship qualifies applicants for $400 towards airfare to come study in Israel.

Apply for a Teen Israel Trip Scholarship. Applications are accepted year-round. Grades 9–12.

JNF Plant Your Way to Israel

This is a scholarship for Bay Area Individuals age 30 or younger.

Masa Israel Journey Grants and Scholarships

This program offers grants and/or scholarships for Jewish young adults to come to Israel for long-term Israel programs. Applicants must be Jewish and be between the ages of 18 and 30. Grant amounts are determined by factors such as age, home country, length of program, etc. In addition, need-based scholarships are available.

This scholarship is awarded to select high school students who wish to travel to Israel through teen leadership programs.

RootOne Vouchers are available for Jewish teens who are entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade or graduating high school. Vouchers are eligible towards select summer trips, and are limited.

This scholarship is for students with exemplary records of leadership in community service.

This scholarship is awarded to identified emerging leaders (8th-10th grade), current leaders stepping into an executive leadership role (11th-12th grade), or those affiliated with an organized local teen programs (NFTY, USY, BBYO, etc.)

Amy Adina Schulman Memorial Fund

This fund is a Princeton, New Jersey based endowment fund providing grants to individual young adults who volunteer or intern for progressive social action projects or programs in an area of their interest and commitment.

Creative Scholarships

Norman E. Alexander Award for Excellence in Jewish Student Writing

Each year, Jewish high school students are asked to write essays on a given topic to be awarded this scholarship. Essays should not exceed 500 words.

Camp Scholarships

Jewish Day Camp Scholarships

These scholarships award Jewish children (as identified by their families) ages 3-15 attending qualified Jewish day camps (both summer and winter camp) in the Federation’s service area.

Overnight Camp Scholarships

The Federation offers select Overnight Camp Scholarships for families with Jewish children (self-identified) between the ages of 6 and 18 attending a qualifying Jewish overnight camp in the U.S., Canada or Israel.

Single-Parent Family and Overnight Camp Grants

These grants select applicants who self-identify as a Jewish single-parent family with children (ages 6-18) who plan to attend any Jewish family camp and/or at least 6 days of Jewish overnight camp.

Specialty Camp Family Weekend Scholarships

The Federation offers Specialty Camp Family Weekend awards for select applicants attending specialty family camp weekends who show financial need.
